-The Art Of Banksy-

“laugh now, but one day we will be in charge” – Banksy

If you don’t know who Banksy is by now then there isn’t much I can do but introduce you slightly to the world of an amazing street artist, political activist and Film maker – Banksy.

Now, I’m not going to regurgitate the same old same old information about Banksy. What I will say is this, I was first introduced to Banksy’s work in the mid- 2000’s with the artwork of the kissing police in Brighton, England. After that I was totally fascinated by Banksy and the street art that was produced.

I was fortunate enough to see the real life piece of the kissing police in Brighton in 2012 (or there about). Through out the years Banksy has produced statement pieces all over the world. Bringing awareness and light of the worlds ‘Not so nice side’.

In late October, 2016 – I was again fortunate enough to attend an exhibition showcasing some of Banksy work . Now, let me just state that this exhibition was/is not approved by Banksy in any way, shape or form. But in true form of human greed and selfishness, I attended – (back story – I had a little trip in August to the Balkans and I was totally tempted to drive to Amsterdam to visit the Banksy Exhibition, so I had to attend this one – even if it wasn’t approved by Banksy)

The Unofficial Banksy exhibition is currently being held in Melbourne, Vic and will be running until late January 2017.

For more information regarding the exhibition – The Art of Banksy has everything you need to know about the exhibition, travel and history.
